Ice Cream Truck

Chillbilly Ice Cream is a throwback-style, family-run ice cream truck rolling through Morehead and Eastern Kentucky with old-school treats and small-town charm. We serve up colorful popsicles, and freezer-box favorites that bring back the good ol’ days — when the ice cream truck song meant drop everything and run. Rooted in Appalachian pride and built on family fun, we’re here to deliver cool treats, big smiles, and a little vintage joy at every stop. 

ChillBilly Ice Cream started with a simple idea, a whole lot of family love, and a dream in Morehead, Kentucky.

The Hall family—Matt, Christina, and  two sons, Case and Cal—wanted to build something fun, local, and full of smiles. Christina, originally a California girl, loved the idea of creating something vintage and cool. Matt, the country boy,  wanted something safe, wholesome, and centered around kids and families. Put those ideas together… and you get an ice cream truck!

Of course, Case and Cal were all in from the very beginning. (Free ice cream is pretty convincing.)

In December 2025, they bought a rugged old construction van and decided to turn it into the chillest truck in Eastern Kentucky—one drumstick and popsicle at a time.

Then came the toughest part: picking a name.

Cal voted for “Transformer Ice Cream.”

Case pushed hard for “Case Man’s Ice Cream Truck.”

But Mom and Dad wanted something that felt like home—something that mixed Appalachian heritage and small-town charm with classic ice cream treats.  After lots of brainstorming, ChillBilly Ice Cream was born.
